More than 500 GCPS retirees set to seek new horizons in 2019

As the 2018–19 school year comes to a close, 514 veteran educators and support staff members will mark their retirement from Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS). In total, our 2018–19 retirees have contributed a collective 12,399 years of their lives to education, and a total of 9,963 years to Gwinnett schoolchildren. In fact, 56.4% (289) of our retirees have worked their entire careers— in the classroom, office, cafeteria, bus, or shop— in this school system.

In total, our 2017–18 retirees have contributed a collective 12,813 years of their lives to education, and a total of 10,204 years to Gwinnett schoolchildren.
