SOCIAL CIRCLE – Hunters utilizing archery equipment will get the first opportunity at bringing home a deer beginning Saturday, Sept. 9, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division.
SOCIAL CIRCLE – Each year, the fourth Saturday of September brings National Hunting and Fishing Day. On this day, celebrated Sept. 23 this year, everyone can enjoy any of eight FREE scheduled celebratory events, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division.
The Canada goose is an adaptable bird that can live in a variety of habitats, with many of those locations in close proximity to people, such as open farmland, rural reservoirs, suburban neighborhood ponds, office complexes, parks and other developed areas.
Season planning underway for waterfowl hunters: Dates and seasons regulations approved
Hunters can begin making waterfowl season plans now that the 2017-2018 migratory bird season hunting dates and regulations were approved by the Board of Natural Resources.
