After an 11-week interruption for the COVID-19 pandemic, determined students of the Lilburn Citizens Police Academy recently completed their 13-week course as police officers covered many facets of today’s law enforcement, presenting hands-on demonstrations of modern police equipment.
Lawrenceville– Gwinnett County officials will honor Spc. Etienne Jules Murphy of Snellville during the 15th annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 28 at 1 p.m. at the Gwinnett Fallen Heroes Memorial in Lawrenceville. Murphy was killed May 26, 2017, in a vehicle rollover in Syria as part of Operation Inherent Resolve fighting ISIS.
DNR Law Enforcement gears up for July 4th weekend on the state’s waterways
Social Circle – With Independence Day falling on Monday and creating a three-day weekend this year, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division is expecting waterways across the state to be busier than usual as boaters and swimmers take to the lakes and rivers for picnics, recreation and fireworks.
