Nearly 400 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students earned the Georgia Seal of Biliteracy in 2020. The seal recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English.

Wow. I can’t believe it’s already May. Freshman year has completely flown by. So, this month I just want to recap everything that happened my first year of high school.
Recognizing their achievement in Career and Technical Education courses during their high school careers, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) recently highlighted the work of 23 high school students during the Gwinnett County Public Schools 2017 Career and Technical Education Student of the Year awards recognition program.
When you work with athletes, there will be times when someone needs a helping hand to get back up, or a shoulder to cry on when they’ve fallen short. One of the best aspects of being on a team is having someone to turn to and trust when times are tough.
You may have noticed that it has been a while since I have written an article. It took me a minute to figure out this high school thing. Since the beginning of this year, school has been a lot different.

Instead of sleeping in and going to the pool after lunch, you’ll have to trade these luxuries in for textbooks and homework.
For the past month I have been so busy!!! As a freshman at Grayson High School, my first month in high school has flown by! It feels like an on-going roller coaster filled with student council meetings, lots of AP homework, cross country practices everyday, small group leading at my church for our youth ministry, and piano lessons.
Finally, the day for which everyone has been preparing has arrived. All the weights lifted, the gassers run, and sweat drenched t-shirts have led to this moment. The stadium seats are filled with screaming fans as the beat from the drum section of the band pounds through the air.
