Event to Commemorate School’s History & Legacy before Building Reconstruction
The City of Lawrenceville invites alumni, family, friends and community members to a celebration of the historic Hooper Renwick School on September 10 from 4-8pm.
On Friday evening, August 19, 2016, Central Gwinnett High School (CGHS) named and dedicated the new field house to honor the philanthropic work that included his time and talents of long-time Lawrenceville resident, Clyde L. Strickland.

Brookwood High School’s Jan Wilson is Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Library Media Specialist of the Year. Wilson, who has 19 years’ experience, has developed a successful program that is exemplary in the promotion of reading, information technology utilization, collaborative and innovative techniques, and community involvement.
Couch Middle School’s Relay For Life team will host a Taste of Grayson event on Saturday, April 23 from 2:00-4:00.
Sen. Renee Unterman (R- Buford) has been appointed by Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle to serve on the High School Athletics Overview Committee.
