Ain’t No Grave

In Luke’s gospel, he shares a story of Jesus, his disciples and a large crowd with him going to the Galilean town of Nain. When they enter to the town, there is a funeral procession taking place.

If Jesus was hitchhiking, would you pick him up?

Then Jesus said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.” Luke 9:23-24

Intimacy with God

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”
Psalm 42:1-2

Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

In life, we all feel like we have been cheated at times. We do not always get what we think we deserve. When this happens, we can suffer from resentment.

Who Killed Jesus?

Recently, churches all over the world observed Good Friday and Easter Sunday as we celebrated the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. According to the Scriptures, Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day.

Are You “Good Enough” to Serve God?

The Summer before my junior year of college I made a commitment to God, “Anywhere, Anything, Anytime. God, I will go anywhere you want me to go. I will do anything you want me to do. And I will do it anytime you want me to do it.”

Is God Punishing Us or Protecting Us?

I think many Christians and people, in general, have two different views of God when it comes to the Old Testament and the New Testament. People tend to view the “God of the Old Testament” as an angry God who brings his punishment and wrath down on anyone who does not follow his laws. And they view the “God of the New Testament” as a gracious, loving and merciful God.

A Call for Unity among Christians

God desires for His people, the church, to be unified. Now, it’s really hard for people to have unity because we have so many different beliefs, opinions, and preferences. It’s challenging for a family living under the same roof to be unified. It’s really difficult for a church family, a local body of believers, to be unified. And it’s extremely challenging for all the churches around our community, country, and the world to be unified.
