Leadership Gwinnett announces 34th Class

Duluth – Forty leaders have been selected to Leadership Gwinnett, Gwinnett’s award-winning community leadership program for business, civic, and community leaders. The class of 2019 will take a deep dive into the many sectors of Gwinnett – infrastructure, economics, education, health and human services, justice, and regional relations. These leaders are committed to give their time, talent and resources to strengthen their personal and professional connection to the community.

This 33rd class will delve into the many sectors of Gwinnett – infrastructure, economics, education, health and human services, justice, and regional relations.

DULUTH, GA – Forty community leaders graduated from the prestigious Leadership Gwinnett program in May. This group not only completed the nine-month program requirement, they also coordinated a campaign to donate nearly $10,000 to the Leadership Gwinnett Scholarship Fund.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ – Brookwood High School’s Servant Students

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™ is a national high school leadership program focused on impact through action. Brookwood High School (BHS) partnered with local Chick-fil-a store located at 1559 Scenic Hwy North in Snellville and their franchise operator, Tom Balsamides, to develop their leadership program to cultivate servant students at BHS dubbed ‘BOSS,’ Brookwood Organization of Servant Students.

Shumates make GGC’s Advising Center possible

A significant gift of $250,000 from Greg and Tammy Shumate enabled Georgia Gwinnett College and its School of Transitional Studies to recently open a much-needed Advising Center.  The center served 1,071 students in its first year.
