Knight Elementary Teaching Garden joins Lilburn Garden Tour

The GFWC Lilburn Woman’s Club is delighted to announce the addition of the Knight Elementary School Teaching Garden to our 3rd annual “Behind the Garden Gate” tour of Lilburn area gardens on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 9am to 3pm.

April, 2016 is Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lilburn

Nancy Chilcoat and Linda Newton of the Lilburn Woman’s Club recently received a proclamation from Lilburn Mayor Crist declaring April, 2016, Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lilburn.

The Lilburn Woman’s Club is part of the largest women’s club in the world – the International Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC).

With help from the entire community, the Lilburn Lions Club surpassed their original goal of 500 lbs. and collected over 1,000 lbs. of food in February for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry!

Haunted houses, haunted paths, ghosts, ghouls, graveyards and charitable donations go hand-in-bony-hand at this time of year… right? The combination works really well for some local families in Lilburn and Grayson.

Lilburn Postmaster Jeffrey Keever and Mike Eubanks presented LWC President Patty Gabilondo and Cheryl Bauer with one black and one red ink official USPS cancellation stamp commemorating the GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club 40th Anniversary being chartered with GFWC Georgia.  Available for general public use at the Lilburn Post Office located on Lawrenceville Hwy.
