The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved a $2.07 billion budget for 2022, up 8.1 percent from last year. The newly approved budget does not require a millage rate increase.
For the fifth straight year, the city’s millage rate will remain the same in 2019.
At its May 16, 2019 meeting, the Gwinnett County Board of Education (BOE) adopted its Fiscal Year 2020 Budget and tentatively adopted a millage rate to support the budget. During the budget-setting process, the Board indicated that the adopted budget would not require an increase in the millage rate.
City Leaders Vote to Set Local Tax Rate at 1.826 Mills
LAWRENCEVILLE – City of Lawrenceville officials voted to decrease the millage rate of 1.909 mills to 1.826 mills for the 2018/19 fiscal year. Input from public hearings during the weeks of July 2 and July 9 culminated in the rollback vote on July 11, 2018.
SNELLVILLE – The City of Snellville has announced that its proposed millage rate for 2018 will remain unchanged.
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners will hold three public hearings to receive comments on the proposed 2014 millage rates.
