Clad in pink and wearing masks, 26 students, faculty and staff members walked a mile on the PCOM Georgia walking trail to help raise money to enhance mammography services in Gwinnett County.
Registration is open for the 2020 Northside Hospital Paint Gwinnett Pink 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event will be socially distanced and virtual, concluding with a live-streamed award ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Fear and Finances should never be barriers to critical screenings
Lawrenceville – Saturday, Oct. 1 dawned sunny and a little cool, a perfect day for a walk. At least, that’s what more than 800 men, women and children thought as families and friends flocked to Coolray Field for Gwinnett County’s first annual “Paint Gwinnett Pink” 5K Run and Walk for Breast Cancer. Gwinnett Medical Center partnered with Paint Georgia Pink, Inc. to present this day of fellowship, exercise, celebration and honoring (and of course, some fundraising).
