Power of Prayer

Rev. Robert Thompson

Prayer, Our Necessity for Living

Luke 18:1-8: Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart, saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘ Give me legal protection from my opponent.’

The Necessity of Prayer for the Child of God

If there is any time in our lives that prayer proves to be a necessary part of our daily life, it is today! Prayer is one of the four main vehicles that help us exercise our faith in Christ Jesus.

More Than You Can Imagine

I am an extremely positive and optimistic person. No matter what the situation, I always think it will work out with a best-case scenario. I definitely see the glass half-full.

The three of us in the hospital bed - we titled, "The day Daddy woke up"

Miracles and medicine

On Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 (one day after we celebrated his 37th birthday), my husband, Marcus Hunter went into cardiac arrest while playing basketball at the gym.  My husband died for a while that day – as in no pulse, no heart rhythm, V-fib, etc. Those words were all associated with my husband on that, the scariest day of my life.

Cheryl’s Adventure – It’s showtime!

Ever since I was a little girl I’ve dreamed of performing on stage! Growing up I was able to act in a few plays, sing with my middle school chorus, and dance for my high school Drill Team.  Ever since then my stage career has been limited to random nights of karaoke and living out my dream in our school’s talent show!
