The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and officials from the Georgia Department of Public Safety and Georgia Department of Transportation broke ground Tuesday on the Georgia State Patrol Post in Gwinnett County.
Gwinnett Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash presented her $1.8 billion proposed budget for 2019 during a briefing Tuesday.
Flags flew at half-staff over the State Capitol and throughout Gwinnett County in late October. Memorials poured in and people lined the procession route after the funeral for Gwinnett Police Officer Antwan Toney. He was shot dead while investigating a suspicious vehicle. He had been with the police department since October 2015.
