Those who have lived in Snellville since the ‘70s or earlier may remember when there wasn’t a single park in city limits. Longtime residents may also remember that around that time, a local activist by the name of Thomas W. Briscoe organized a crew to change that.
SNELLVILLE – Archer High School senior Kristin Horne was raised in a military family. So when it came time to complete her Gold Award – the highest achievement a Girl Scout can receive – she knew it had to draw attention to issues facing military veterans.
A Flag Day ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. June 16 at the T.W. Briscoe Park Partee Flag Pole.
