Last year 180 needy children were provided Christmas from Trader J’s Auction and this year the number is expected to increase drastically. According to Jan Jones, owner of Trader J’s Auction, “Through donations of items and money from our customers, we are able to provide toys, stockings, Bibles, winter wear, food boxes and hot meals to children and families in need at Christmas absolutely FREE! God has blessed this auction and its patrons and this is our way of giving back to others and glorifying His name.” Jones goes on to say, “This is a huge task. Thankfully this year word has spread beyond the walls of the auction and others are getting involved! The Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church is partnering with us and providing clothing, coats and shoes for all the homeless children from Lawrenceville Elementary, stuffing stockings and providing other donations of toys. Because this is our 4th year of serving the needy in Lawrenceville, word has also spread to other families in need.
