Reduce redness, spider veins and pigment  associated with rosacea and sun damage.

Vbeam Laser Technology now available at Gwinnett Dermatology!

Vbeam Perfecta is the latest generation of Vbeam laser offering Combination Therapy of diffuse redness, spider veins and pigmentation. Vbeam is Candela’s hallmark pulsed dye vascular laser. Vascular lasers specifically target “red” color and are routinely used to eliminate small red vessels and capillaries.

Vbeam Perfecta will treat all the following

•Rosacea
•Spider veins
•Stretch marks (early when still red)
•Red Scars
•Red Birthmarks
•Pigment Spots

Vbeam Perfecta is fast and very low on the pain scale. The quick pulse bursts heat the vessels very quickly and are interspersed with alternating bursts of cryogen spay to instantly cool and protect the skin.

Perfecta compared to other vascular lasers

•More powerful
•More effective
•Less bruising
•Shorter treatment series

How can this laser lessen bruising?

Lasers have been used for removal of pigmentation and superficial veins for years. One of the less-desirable side-effects has been bruising. Resistant pigmentation and concentrated vein or vascular conditions require more “power” and this in turn has typically resulted in some type of superficial bruise.

The Perfecta Laser by Candela uses a new technology called Micropulse to allow more power delivery with minimized bruising. The Perfecta is the premium level laser for treating vascular (vein) conditions. Vascular conditions routinely require a series of treatments to fully eliminate broken veins. You will want to adhere to the treatment schedule to obtain the best possible results. With Vbeam Perfecta, it is typical to reduce the number of treatments required – often by 25 to 33%.

Perfecta Laser Micropulse technology

Vbeam Perfecta has distinct advantages – Dynamic Cooling and Compression. Your surface skin is protected by the built in computer-controlled skin cooling and the compression element allows for the treatment of pigmented areas in the same treatment.

What is Micropulse and how is it different?

Micropulse technology spreads out a single laser pulse into 8 evenly spaced micro bursts of laser energy. As a result, more energy can be directed to the targeted vein or pigmented spot without risk to the skin. Since the laser energy is applied over longer periods of time there is a gentler heating effect and uniform coagulation. By heating targeted vessels more gently, the new Perfecta Vbeam eliminates or minimizes post-treatment purpura (bruising).

Standard laser pulses have more impact when used aggressively for resistant pigmentation and more pronounced vein conditions and thus often cause more bruising.

Is Vbeam safe?

The laser has a unique ability to selectively target the blood vessels of a vascular lesion without adversely affecting the surrounding tissue. It is so safe and effective that it has been used successfully for the treatment of infants as young as a few weeks old.
