West Lawrenceville Street to Close for Upgraded Pedestrian Crosswalk

Duluth, Georgia (April 18, 2017) – West Lawrenceville Street will be closed for construction of upgraded pedestrian facilities from Monday, April 24th through Thursday, May 4th.

Through traffic will not be permitted, however, access to parking for Epicurean and at Parsons Alley for Dreamland BBQ, Personify, and Simply Done Donuts will be accessible from the Hill Street/West Lawrenceville Street intersection and the new driveway at Parsons Alley, as well as the lot entrance on Hill Street.  Additional parking throughout downtown will remain open at all times.  All businesses will remain open and fully accessible during construction.

A detour will be posted and will guide eastbound travelers to Hill Street and SR 120 where they will return to West Lawrenceville Street at the Main Street intersection.  Similarly, westbound travelers will be guided onto SR 120 to Hill Street.  Hill Street will take them back to West Lawrenceville where they can continue westbound.

Weather providing, the road is anticipated to reopen prior to the kickoff of our Food Truck Friday event on Cinco De Mayo (5/5). Please come join us for the event and enjoy the newly constructed pedestrian facility on West Lawrenceville Street.
