Gwinnett Ballet Theatre presents its second annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser February 28th

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre invites partiers and arts patrons to come celebrate the most colorful time of year – Mardi Gras! GBT’s second annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 28th from 7 – 10 pm in GBT’s spacious studios in Lawrenceville.

The event will feature incredible silent auction items, food by Boudreaux’s Café Acadiana, and Cajun music by Danny Ray Cole. Blackjack gaming will also be available for those courting Lady Luck.

All proceeds for the event will go to GBT’s Spring production of “Journey” and to the young artists of GBT. “Journey” is a contemporary full length story ballet which will be held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center on March 28th and 29th.

Silent auction items are the real draw for this party, and this year’s offerings are sensational. Tickets to Disney Theme Parks are sure to cause a bidding war, as will the beautiful gems and jewelry from Barron’s Fine Jewelry. Barron’s is donating not only two beautiful bracelets but the chance to win a diamond worth $2,500 during the crowd favorite “champagne event.” Patrons purchase a glass of champagne and will automatically win gemstones worth $75-100. One very lucky patron will win the diamond!

Other items include passes to the World of Coca-Cola, Atlanta Braves tickets, a gorgeous quilt created by Elizabeth Beck, a round of golf at Summit Chase Country Club, tickets to Dollywood, a Mac Stewart print, rides on the Atlanta Ferris Wheel, tickets to the Atlanta Aquarium, a fire pit courtesy of Belgard, a special Boudreaux’s café Acadiana basket and gift card, and dozens more prizes!

GBT’s studios are located at 1800 Macleod Drive in Lawrenceville. The address is directly across Sugarloaf from Gwinnett Tech. For more information, call 770-237-0046 or visit the GBT web site at www.gwinnettballet.org
