Window Treatments options you might not have considered

A few options when looking for Window Treatments you might not have considered: Woven Wood Shades and Roller Shades. These two types of Shades are timeless, classic, and complement just about any décor.

Woven Wood Shades are made of natural fibers, such as bamboo and grassy type materials. They come in a wide array of earthy tones which appeal to most people. They can be lined with a coordinating color to allow for privacy and more sun control.

blinladySetp220Woven Woods can be fabricated in a flat style that folds up like a Roman Shade. For a more custom look and to protect the edges (some of the fabrics may unravel if not protected), an edge band of matching color can be added. Shades can also be “hobbled” with horizontal over-lapping folds retained in place when the shade is fully closed, to give a softer appearance. Your windows should be at least 3” deep for a hobbled shade if privacy is important.

blindladySept2220The Roller Shade has come a long way! I get some interesting reactions when I recommend Roller Shades. I promise, these are not your Grandma’s shades that go flap, flap, flap, or come off the roller. The fabrics come in beautiful solids, textures, and patterns that look amazing in any room, formal or casual and adds a no-fuss, easy, and modern way to cover your windows. Pricing on Roller Shades is economical compared to some of the higher end Window Treatment options available.
