There is much to celebrate at the Cheer Factory, located in Lawrenceville, GA. The business is turning 15 and their Senior Level 2, All-Star team returned from The Summit, All Levels National Invitational with a 3rd place trophy.

On May 24, 2014 Veterans came together in Snellville for the dedication of the Snellville Veteran’s Memorial. The memorial is located in front of Snellville City Hall at Hwy 78 and Oak Road. Vietnam Veteran Tom Witts (bottom center) has been committed to relighting the eternal flame in Snellville.

It never ceases to amaze just how many dynamic and self-sufficient personalities have come from the South Gwinnett Alumni. “Big Daddy” Todd Lawson is no exception. Always one of the guys who might be called “big man on campus”, Todd’s presence is hard to miss. From appearances, “Big Daddy” might conjure up thoughts of a southern gothic character, but according to his three daughters, he is kind of a gentle giant. A gentle giant who makes some very tasty barbeque.

Lawrenceville – As the 2013-20­14 school year comes to a close, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will thank the 443 veteran educators and support staff members retiring this year who contributed to the success of Gwinnett students. In total, this year’s retirees have contributed a collective 11,023 years of their lives to education, and a total of 4,705 years to Gwinnett schoolchildren. In fact, 44% or 193 of the retirees, have worked their entire careers‹ in the classroom, office, cafeteria, bus, or shop‹ in Gwinnett.
