The Gwinnett Young Professionals is a personal and professional development program led by Chamber in partnership with Georgia Gwinnett College that encourages young business people to develop and enhance leadership skills, exchange ideas, share common interests, learn more about the area’s business community and engage in the community’s future. The Gwinnett Young Professionals group targets individuals who are ages 21 to 35.
“We are delighted to offer a multi-faceted program for young professionals,” said Gwinnett Chamber President & CEO Dr. Dan Kaufman. “One of our goals at the Chamber is to attract and retain young professionals in the Gwinnett community. We envision this program as an important way to help young professionals develop both personally and professionally as they prepare themselves for leadership positions in business and in the community.”
Gwinnett Young Professionals seeks to be a primary resource for young professionals by providing diverse opportunities for professional development while inspiring them to Live, Work, Play and Stay in the Gwinnett community. Program opportunities include professional development, community involvement, social connections and the opportunity to participate in the Gwinnett Young Professional Leadership Institute.
“By 2020, Millennials will comprise 50 percent of the United States workforce,” said Sean George, Manager of Membership Services at the Gwinnett Chamber and program manager of Gwinnett Young Professionals. “Our mission is to attract Millennials to the Chamber when they first enter the workforce and engage and empower them through community, professional and social opportunities.”
