Lilburn Farmers Market Opens June 6th

The Lilburn Farmers Market is very excited to begin our 5th season with our new sponsor - Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. The market is moving to the Good Shepherd campus at1400 Killian Hill Rd, Lilburn 30047 and will be open every Friday night in June, July and August from 4 pm to 8 pm. The market is much more than a place to purchase farm fresh fruits/produce and locally made items.

Lilburn Farmers Market

It has become a hub for the community to meet and enjoy all of the other activities provided at the market too. Local chefs come and demonstrate how to use items from the market to create yummy delights. Every week the Lilburn Woman’s Club hosts the Little Free Library where market goers can take a book and/or give a book. Live music enhances the market experience. A variety of food trucks will provide ready to eat delights each week. On June 6th, the LifeSouth Blood Mobile will to having a blood drive. What a great way to support our community by giving blood.

The Gwinnett County Extension will have Master Gardeners available to answer any gardening questions on June 13th. Parkwood Farm Therapy Center will have an opportunity to tell the community about its special program on June 20th and children will be able to learn all about the Peach State while playing the market sponsored ‘Georgia on my Mind’ game. St. John Neumann Regional Catholic School will be the focus on June 27 and their SJN Cooking Crusader lead by Chef Stacy Maple will host an extra special cooking demonstration geared toward children of all ages.
