Rock’n Ribville coming September 17th

Attracting more than 13,000 attendees to the City’s Downtown District, Rock’n Ribville will bring local businesses, a National Competition by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and traditional Southern barbeque together with your favorite brews, live music, arts, crafts and kid-friendly activities. Festivities will run from 12noon to 8:00pm on the City’s newest event venue, the Lawrenceville Lawn, located on Luckie Street in Downtown Lawrenceville.

The Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctions and judges barbeque competitions across the United States and promotes barbeque as America’s favorite cuisine. It is the largest society of barbeque enthusiasts in the world! Recognizing barbeque as America’s Cuisine, the mission of the Kansas City Barbeque Society is to celebrate, teach, preserve and promote barbeque as a culinary technique, sport and art form.

Every year Lawrenceville’s flagship event continues to grow in popularity, now entering its 3rd year as a sanctioned KCBS event, which allows Rock’n Ribville to invite teams from across the country to join in the annual BBQ competition for a chance to win prize money in various categories, including chicken, ribs, pork and brisket.

The day-long event filled with incredible opportunities for food and beverages galore will be topped only by the live entertainment provided all day with music from Zach Seabaugh from The Voice, Adam Craig, the Raelyn Nelson Band (Willie Nelson’s granddaughter), and Sugarland’s Kristian Bush!

Rock’n Ribville would not be possible without the support of US Auto Sales, Kicks 101.5, Bud Light, and McCray’s Tavern on the Square among many other local sponsors. Proceeds from the event benefit the Lawrenceville Police Benevo- lent Fund, to support the Fund’s initiatives and objectives related to fallen officers in the line-of-duty, as well as educational preparation resources for training new law enforcement recruits to serve the community.

This will be Rock’n Ribville’s best year yet! Don’t miss the fun and games combined with mouth-watering food, cold beverages and incredible live entertainment all together as we celebrate another amazing year in Gwinnett’s County Seat!
