For the past month I have been so busy!!! As a freshman at Grayson High School, my first month in high school has flown by! It feels like an on-going roller coaster filled with student council meetings, lots of AP homework, cross country practices everyday, small group leading at my church for our youth ministry, and piano lessons.

Gwinnett’s different kinds of families

Who could be more photogenic then a group of Brookwood High School Football Dads in suit coats and shorts with ill-advised shoes?  It is a rhetorical question and the obvious answer is “Wow!”

Gwinnett’s character

I understand that change is good and inevitable but who would have thought that the classic 1975 “Land Shark” pose would be nearly extinct 40 years later.  Kudos are due to the 2015 Grayson High School Lacrosse Seniors Boys for heading a revival of this concept.

Grayson HS is known for football.  But this year was the first year that GHS’  boys Varsity Lacrosse made it to the 6-A State playoffs!   We also had 3 Varsity players to sign for College Lacrosse: Chris Briner, MVP, and Darius Thompson, All County Defensive, both signed to play the inaugural season at Columbus State University.  Head Coach Brendan Bonacum moved down from New York to start the program, Chris will be the starting Goal Tender and Darius will be one of the starting Defensemen. Roman Brown signed with Huntington University in Alabama and Varsity player Sharp Reineryson also made All County Offense. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the South East, and Grayson High School is getting recognized, look out Football!!!
