The website devoted to Gwinnett County’s yearlong Bicentennial Celebration won Best of Show out of 249 entries in a National Association of County Information Officers awards competition. Four other awards for Gwinnett County communications materials were also presented in Nashville on July 15.
Lawrenceville – Gwinnett County will demolish its old Fire Station 15 at 275 South Perry Street in Lawrenceville and build a Bicentennial Plaza in its place. The project will also upgrade an existing walkway and trail along Constitution Boulevard to create the Bicentennial Trail, which will connect the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, the Bicentennial Plaza and the Lawrenceville Lawn.
Lawrenceville – The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners kicked off the County’s bicentennial observance Tuesday with a proclamation declaring December 15, 2017, through December 15, 2018, Gwinnett County’s Bicentennial Year of Celebration.
