Like many parents, Jessica Black was devastated when her daughter was first diagnosed with autism. “I was worried about how she would find her place in the world.” Although she was able to get help and support from the medical and even the school community, Ms. Black found it was often awkward and difficult to find that same support in the place she was accustomed to finding it the most, her church community.

Sunday, October 12th at 6pm, Grayson High Schol in Loganville, will draw a $10,000 ticket winner. Each ticket is $100 which includes 2 dinners and door prizes. Only 300 raffle tickets will be sold! You do not have to be present to win the $10,000 cash prize.

Mr/Ms. Special Gwinnett County Pageant

The Mr & Ms Special Gwinnett County Pageant was established in 2012 by Jennifer Hite as her Girl Scout Gold Award project.  The pageant serves teens ages 13-19 and adults ages 20+ with disabilities.  Jennifer’s vision was to give Gwinnett County an event to showcase the special needs population and bring attention to these remarkable individuals.

The Mountain Shadow Garden Club (MSGC) is pleased to announce its “2014 Georgia Pecans for the Holidays Sale” our annual fall fund raising event. The newly harvested pecans from our supplier in south Georgia are scheduled to arrive no later than Nov. 15th.
