The Lilburn Woman’s Club and Mountain Park United Methodist are to host a free workshop on senior issues

The Lilburn Woman's Club and Mountain Park United Methodist Church are hosting a free workshop on Senior Issues at Mountain Park UMC Family Life Center on August 16 from 9 am till 1 pm.

The workshop will draw attention to urgent issues that seniors and families must communicate about and make preparations for. Our expert panel of speakers will address mental health concerns, social needs, legal concerns, senior housing options, safety issues and state legislation affecting older adults.

Speakers include:

€Pat Baker, Director Gwinnett County Health & Human Services
€Anresa Davis, Senior Residency Counselor, Park Springs
€Ann Wilder, Director of Behavioral Health, Eastside Medical South Campus
€Kevin Martinez, Gwinnett Police
€Wally Kellerman, Elder Care Attorney
€State Senator Renee Unterman, Chairman of the Health & Human Services Committee

Most of us likely know families coping with Alzheimer’s or other debilitating circumstances that have removed a senior’s capability to make and express choices. We hope to provide information that will draw attention to the issues and provide expert, free timely information.
