This impact is being felt by more and more high schoolers, and subsequently, the ripples of influence are reaching deeper into our communities. The vision that was set in motion only three years ago, is gaining momentum as the word is getting out…NG3 is making a difference.
For this vision to reach its full potential, there is a key ingredient that needs to be added… you. Turn the motto around; it takes a community to change the character of the next generation. The involvement of moms, dads, community leaders, small business owners, anyone who wants to provide a brighter future for our youth by investing in them, are all needed and vital to maximizing the depth and width of positive impact. The old saying goes “it takes a village”. Our kids in our communities desperately need your involvement whether they know it or not, which begs the question, what can you do?
Each NG3 staff member is working with various sports teams at an individual school, year round. Usually the football team in the fall and some work with the wrestling team, basketball team, baseball team, soccer team, or track and field team during the winter and spring. Needless to say, one person cannot cover and reach all athletes on all teams at a school. In addition to working directly with two or three sports, the NG3 staff member at a school is also a coordinator of sorts.
Connecting coaches and teams who would like to enrich their players with a character development program or opportunities for small group with community members who are willing and wanting to donate a piece of their time to form a relationship with and invest in student athletes. Grayson High School is benefitting from two more volunteers who have recently stepped out and stepped up to participate with NG3. Coach Jason Abner at Grayson High School said, “NG3 does a great job working with our track program helping our athletes focus on good character, sportsmanship and leadership skills. They are great role models for student athletes and we are lucky to have them in our program.”
In addition to volunteering your time to bring change in our communities, NG3 is hosting their first annual Experience NG3 banquet on April 26th and your presence is welcome. Hosted by the world famous comedic duo from Gwinnett County, Tripp & Tyler(trippandtyler.tv), the banquet will be a great opportunity to see firsthand what sets NG3 apart. The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Three Blind Mice, a one-of-a-kind live and silent auction including trips to Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Fort Walton Beach and a behind the scenes tour of the UGA football team facility.

NG3 stands for Next Generation: Character Community Change. Their goal is to develop men and women of character to create a positive change in our communities. NG3 works directly with student athletes in high schools, teaching and practicing the importance of strong core values like responsibility, humility, integrity and honesty. The staff of NG3 works along side the coaches employed by the school, providing a constant presence of reliability and service.
